Receiving his undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from Boğaziçi University in 1992, Mr. Kaplancık started his professional career at Arçelik A.Ş as an IT Analyst and was involved in Koç 2000 projects. He joined Koçfinans Consumer Credits and Card Services A.Ş as Project Manager during the establishment of the corporation in 1995 and was promoted to Assistant Manager of Information Systems in 1999. While continuing his professional career, he completed Koç University’s Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) program in 1999.
He joined Teknosa İç ve Dış Ticaret A.Ş as Information Technologies Manager in 2000 and became the Information Systems Director in 2006. In 2009, he was appointed Assistant General Manager Responsible for Information Systems, with operational support departments (logistics, stock planning, customer services, post-sales services, risk and quality, strategy) added to his responsibilities in 2010. In August 2013, he was appointed as Information Systems Director at Carrefoursa A.Ş. Mr. Kaplancık then served as the Technology Group President of Hepsiburada from October 2017 to March 2018 and has been working as the Manager of KoçDigital since August 2018.
